How is the shipment sent and what is the cost of shipment?

This rate is based on a 65% discounted rate from UPS Freight. This does not include Residential, Tailgate, Re-Delivery or any other additional service that a commercial freight carrier may offer. If you would like to have you order sent to a residence please make a note on your order. Note: Residential and Lift Gate have additional fees.

How are the units shipped?

The Tugs are shipped in a wooden crate with an easy removable side panel. Since they weigh 190 lbs., once the side panel is removed the tug will easily roll out of the crate. Please follow the instructions listed on the top the crate to prevent damage to your tug. The tug and crate together weigh 260 lbs. and must be shipped via Freight. We manufacture our tugs in Sacramento, California and are shipped from Sacramento. We do not have a warehouse located in Las Vegas, Nevada (it is our corporate headquarters location).

What is the height of the ball and is it adjustable?

Yes, it is interchangeable on the Hydro series units. The ball height is adjustable with interchangeable adapters from 20" - 23". They also come with a 1-7/8", 2" or 2-5/16" ball.

How much do the trailer tugs weigh?

The tug alone weighs approx 190 lbs. With the crate the total weight is 260 lbs. Due to the weight they must be shipped via Freight.

Do you have any brochures on your products?

Yes. If you would like a printed brochure, please email your name and address to info@TrailerTugPro.com.

Do you have a trailer puller to move my fifth wheel trailer?

Not at this time, however we currently have a 5th wheel model in development and are expecting to be in production by Fall of 2008!

The “Hydro 5” is a Honda powered, 4-wheel drive tug with a small 46” x 35” footprint. A wireless remote control transmitter allows the operator to maneuver the unit from any position around the trailer, up to 500 ft. With the wireless remote control, a single operator can maneuver a 20,000 lb 5th wheel trailer into areas which are virtually impossible with any other tow device on the market…all at the touch of a finger. The Hydro 5’s cutting edge technology of primary and secondary safety features prevent loss of control and the preservation of your property.

My trailer has electric brakes, do your trailer tugs have a way of applying the brakes on my trailer?

All of our tugs come with brakes installed on the tug itself. For additional safety, we can add a control unit, electrical harness, and electrical connector which connects to your existing trailer plug. When you pull the brake lever on the tug, the brakes on the trailer will be applied. The amount of braking force can be adjusted on the control unit located at the top of the tug's handle bar. Please contact us for more information for this additional option.
